This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
If you see a member of the BCHS Jazz Ensemble, be sure to give them a pat on the back for a splendid performance on Saturday! They earned a Superior and an Excellent from the adjudicators on site, and we received plenty of complements from other bands and directors present. I'm very proud of the Jazz Ensemble!
I know that there are still a lot of questions about the Universal Trip. Now that there is a clearer picture as to who's going, I can begin to plan for room assignments, groups, and what not. I appreciate everyone's patience as I juggle this with music ensemble chair placements, fundraisers, rehearsals, state, and everything.
Please take a sec to check the calendar for the two weeks after Spring Break. I have update the rehearsal schedule to accommodate for State and Prism. I know that the rehearsal schedule is now quite busy considering everything going on, but I'm limited on options if we want to try to preserve the quality of those respective performances. Students (Especially Wind Ensemble during the Week of State) please work to plan ahead so we can be available all together to take advantage of those rehearsals.

Leadership Book 2022
If you are interested in Leadership, you will need to purchase the book "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" by Sean Covey. Every year, Leadership uses a text to learn to understand leadership concepts. Leadership Mondays begin on Monday, March 7th from 3pm to 5pm. Students must attend all Leadership Mondays to be considered for a position.
