Mr. Myles Moore, M.M.E.

Director of Bands

Mr. Moore, a Jacksonville, FL native, has cultivated a lifelong dedication to music and band leadership, rooted in his deep involvement with music programs from an early age. His commitment to excellence began in middle and high school band, where he eagerly took on responsibilities that fostered his leadership skills. Building upon these formative experiences, Mr. Moore went on to attend Jacksonville University, where he excelled in various prominent leadership roles, including the esteemed position of Drum Major for the Jacksonville University Marching Band. In this role, he demonstrated exceptional musical and organizational prowess, setting the standard for discipline and collaboration within the ensemble.

​

An expert in organizational leadership and development, Mr. Moore has leveraged his skills to provide impactful presentations and workshops for diverse groups, drawing upon his experiences to inspire and guide others in achieving their potential. His contributions to leadership education reflect a unique combination of musical expertise and an understanding of effective organizational practices, which he brings to each of his roles in the music education field.

Academically, Mr. Moore is highly accomplished, holding a Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Jacksonville University, where he refined his understanding of the music industry, and a Master of Music Education from Florida State University. This advanced training has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of both music performance and pedagogy, enabling him to engage his students and colleagues with innovative approaches to music education.

​

Professionally, Mr. Moore is an active member of key music education organizations, including the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA), the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). His affiliations underscore his commitment to advancing music education standards and connecting with fellow educators to share best practices and enhance the impact of music programs.

​

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Moore finds enjoyment and inspiration in attending jazz festivals, a testament to his appreciation for music’s expressive diversity. He also enjoys video gaming, which he views as an outlet for creativity and problem-solving, and values time spent with friends, who provide support and camaraderie outside of his career.

Mr. Justin Burnham

Asst. Director of Bands

Mr. Justin, a proud native of Baker County, dedicated his entire high school career to the Wildcat Pride Band. After graduating, he began his journey as a Percussion Instructor and later advanced to the role of Assistant Band Director for the Wildcat Pride Band Program. With over ten years of active involvement, Mr. Justin continues to bring his passion for music and education to the program, inspiring students with his experience and dedication.

In addition to his commitment to the band, Mr. Justin works full-time at the Northeast Florida State Hospital and serves as the President of the Baker County Historical Society, where he pursues his enthusiasm for local history and preservation. Known for his love of history and military marches, Mr. Justin enjoys sharing his knowledge and fostering an appreciation for historical traditions.

Outside of his professional roles, Mr. Justin values quality time with his family, especially his nieces, and enjoys the camaraderie of close friends. His dedication to both his community and family makes him a respected and integral part of the Baker County community.

Mr. Spencer Oyster

Middle School Band Director & Brass Director

Mr. Spencer Oyster serves as the Director of Bands at Baker County Middle School and contributes his expertise as the Brass Director for the Baker County High School Wildcat Pride Marching Band. Now in his fifth year as a music educator, Mr. Oyster brings a wealth of experience from both middle and high school band programs throughout Florida, where he has demonstrated a commitment to musical excellence and student growth.

​

Mr. Oyster’s ensembles consistently achieve Superior ratings at Concert, Jazz, and Marching Music Performance Assessment events, with notable successes at the Florida Marching Band Championships and the Florida Federation of Colorguard Circuit Outdoor Championships. His dedication to refining ensemble performance standards has made a lasting impact on students and their musical achievements.

​

Originally from Tallahassee, FL, Mr. Oyster is an alumnus of Florida State University, where he developed his skill in low brass, specializing in euphonium and trombone. His passion for music extends beyond his primary instruments, as he finds joy in making music in any form. Mr. Oyster’s enthusiasm and experience continue to enrich the Baker County band community, inspiring students to reach their highest potential.

Ms. Amanda Filosi

Majorette Director

Ms. Amanda has proudly served as the sponsor and instructor for the Baker County High School Majorettes for several years, bringing her extensive experience and passion for performance to the program. A 2001 graduate of Baker County High School, Ms. Amanda was actively involved in both majorettes and cheerleading during her high school years. Her commitment to the performing arts continued into college, where she performed as a Gatorette with the Gator Marching Band at the University of Florida from 2001 to 2003.

​

Building on her experience in performance and instruction, Ms. Amanda pursued a Master’s degree and established a successful career as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner. Alongside her medical career, she also worked with the American Twirling Academy as a twirling instructor, further contributing to the art of twirling by mentoring and guiding young performers. In addition, Ms. Amanda has served as a competitive cheerleading coach and beginning gymnastics instructor, showcasing her dedication to helping young athletes develop confidence, discipline, and skill.

​

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Amanda is an outdoor enthusiast who treasures time spent with her two children, Grant and Jayden Filosi. Her dedication to her family and her passion for the performing arts make her an inspiring presence in the Baker County community.

Mrs. Karlie Hodges

Asst. Majorette Sponsor

Mrs. Karlie Hodges is an Assistant Sponsor for the Baker County High School Majorettes, where she brings her own rich history in twirling and cheerleading to the program. A dedicated majorette throughout her middle and high school years, Mrs. Hodges also served as a cheerleader during her senior year. Some of her fondest memories are from her time twirling in high school, where she had the privilege of learning from exceptional coaches, including Ms. Amanda Filosi, the current BCHS Majorette Director. Today, Mrs. Hodges considers it an honor to support Ms. Filosi in her role and is grateful to now call her a friend and colleague.

​

After graduating from high school in 2015, Mrs. Hodges attended the University of Florida, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Her passion for teaching shines through in every aspect of her life, and she is deeply committed to sharing her love of baton twirling with the youth of Baker County. Alongside her role at BCHS, she is a 4th-grade teacher at Legacy Elementary School and has been a longtime instructor with the All-Star Twirling Academy.

In her personal life, Mrs. Hodges is a devoted wife to her husband, Bo, and a proud mother to her 2-year-old daughter, MadiKay, with a baby boy on the way. She treasures time spent with her family and embraces the many roles she fulfills.

 

Outside of her professional and family commitments, Mrs. Hodges enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends, bringing a balanced and joyful spirit to all she does.

Ms. Grace Johnson

Colorguard Director

Grace Johnson is thrilled to join the BCHS Wildcat Pride Marching Band as the Color Guard Director. With a deep passion for color guard developed over eight years, Grace began as a performer in middle and high school before transitioning into coaching and choreography in recent years. She thrives on the excitement of a well-executed routine and is eager to bring that energy and enthusiasm to the team.

​

Beyond color guard, Grace enjoys painting, crafting, and supporting her siblings in their various after-school activities. She also finds joy in spending time with her family and best friend, whose company is as lively and fulfilling as her work with the band. An advocate for balancing hard work with fun, Grace looks forward to connecting with each team member and creating an unforgettable season together.

​

With a focus on teamwork and dedication, Grace is excited to help bring their routines to life and make this a memorable year for everyone. Go Wildcats!

Mrs. Alane Clardy

Colorguard Sponsor

Mrs. Alane Clardy is a proud alumnus of the BCHS Wildcat Pride Color Guard and a former Color Guard captain. A native Floridian, Mrs. Clardy earned her Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of North Florida and later pursued a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She currently teaches at Baker County High School, where her dedication to her students and passion for education recently earned her the prestigious title of 2024 BCHS Teacher of the Year.

​

Outside the classroom and the marching field, Mrs. Clardy enjoys quality time with her husband and children, embracing family life with the same enthusiasm she brings to her professional endeavors. Her commitment to education and community makes her a valued and inspiring presence at Baker County High School.

Mr. Forrest Elledge

Front Ensemble Director

Mr. Elledge is a distinguished alumnus of the Baker County Band programs and an accomplished music educator and performer. He played a pivotal role in establishing the beginning percussion program at Baker County Middle School, sharing his expertise to inspire and nurture young musicians.

​

With extensive experience as a performer, Mr. Elledge has showcased his talents in various ensembles as both a soloist and principal member. As a freelance musician, he has collaborated with renowned groups such as Cirque du Soleil, the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville, and the First Coast Wind Symphony, underscoring his versatility and skill in percussion.

​

Mr. Elledge holds a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Jacksonville University and a Master’s in Divinity from Liberty University. Recently, he was appointed Pastor at New Life Baptist Church, where he now serves the community with dedication. He also brings his passion for music education to Legacy Elementary School as the school’s Music Teacher, fostering a love for music in young students.

Mrs. CeCe Snyder

Drumline Director/ Visual Director

Mrs. CeCe Snyder joins the Baker County High School Band program as the new Drumline Director, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for music education. Now in her second year as Assistant Band Director at Baker County Middle School, Mrs. Snyder has already made a significant impact within the band community.

Throughout her musical career, Mrs. Snyder has performed with distinguished ensembles, including the United States Public Health and Services Corps, JE1, FSCJ bands, JU bands, UNF bands, Drum and Bugle Corps, WGI, and currently, the First Coast Wind Symphony. She has had the privilege of performing under the direction of esteemed conductors such as Robert Shelton, Rossano Galante, and Rodney Wynkoop, each experience contributing to her well-rounded musical expertise.

In the upcoming summer, Mrs. Snyder will tour Budapest and Prague with the First Coast Wind Symphony, further expanding her performance experiences internationally. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and exploring theme parks, bringing a vibrant enthusiasm to both her work and her personal life.
