This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
I'm hoping everyone has had an ample amount of rest! I know I did!
We are going to be immediately entering a very busy next few weeks. For context, there is 1 to 3 performances or major events every week for the next 6 WEEKS.
This Week, it's State Jazz/ S&E MPA
The following week it's thee Spring Concert and JU Jazz Fest
The following week is Symphonic Band MPA (Wind Ensemble goes to watch).
The following week we have major Wind Ensemble Rehearsals with guest clinicians in prep for State. We also have Commitment Night and Majorette Auditions
The following week is State Concert MPA and the Band EOY Trip
The following week is Student Staff Interviews, Drum Major Auditions, Music Ensemble Auditions, the Pass the Torch Concert, and the Music Department Banquet
Finally, two weeks later is Graduation.
I'm not going to lie to you. It's going to be very busy. Organize your time and stay on top of things. Don't miss school or things will quickly become more challenging for you. Be positive.
Also, avoid bringing problems to the band director, and if you must, then please have solutions.

Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, Â we have a State Jazz MPA Dress Rehearsal from the start of class through 5pm. I know this rehearsal is lengthy, but it's necessary to give us our best shot for State after losing a week.
Tuesday, there are Woodwind and Brass Sectionals after school unt
Wednesday, wish Jazz Ensemble and all of the Soloists and Ensembles luck as they go to DeLand High School to perform at State Jazz/ S&E MPA!
Thursday, there is an added rehearsal in prep for the Spring Concert. All Members of the band will be there from 3pm to 4pm, then Wind Ensemble and Percussion will stay from 4pm to 6:30pm.
Friday, we have a Leadership Monday on Friday from 3pm to 5pm.
