This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
BCHS Wind Ensemble, congratulations on achieving a rating of Overall Superior at State Concert MPA. Further, thank you not only to Wind Ensemble but to our entire program for allowing me the honor of being your Band Director and for trusting me to push you so hard toward success. This program has not seen greatness like this in a VERY long time (if EVER). I am still speechless about this accomplishment and it's hard for me to process it, but I do want to make sure you understand that I am proud of you.
Below is a quote from my personal facebook along with a photo of some notable comments and texts I've received. You should check those out. You know that I love you all, but there are a lot of others who love us and are/ have been rooting for us as well.
And with that, Concert MPA season has finally come to a close. Wow. Wow. Wow. To say that I am proud of you or that I am speechless about how far we have come and how much we have grown would feel like an understatement of immense proportions.... but I am indeed overwhelmingly honored that you all have allowed me the opportunity to push you so far musically that we were able to reach this accomplishment. So much hard work was poured into this performance, and I am at a loss of words to truly articulate exactly how proud I am of you. It truly has been a tremendous year for the Baker County High School Band.
It's unbelievable that we've made it.
Congratulations. Really, I mean it.
Monday, During the school day we have been asked to visit the elementary schools to help hype them up for Testing. There will be an all call at 9:00am. Please come to school in your band shirt and blue jeans. We have another Leadership Monday! If you want to be on Leadership, you need to attend these.
