This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
Just another week. Should be pretty ordinary.
Band Parents, please note the booster meeting on Tuesday. Please make an effort to attend either in person or virtually. Also, if you have any pictures that might be good for the Booster page on the Band Website, let me know. Booster Board Members, if you have any good head shots, I’d like to use them to include a section that introduces board members.
This Friday, I am (for real for real) going to start checking regularly to see that everyone has a black binder and sheet protectors in each band class. This will be graded weekly as Pass/Fail. This is being done because I see too many loose sheets of music in the band room and instrument storage and because it takes too long for students to pull up their music in class. There have also been several instances throughout the year where many students lose music that was handed out. Students need to keep their music organized in their binders so that we can more efficiently use our time.
To pass this week, each student must show me:
A 1” Black Binder labeled on the inside or outside with the student’s name
Binders may not be shared—each student needs their own binder.
Sheet Protectors with their provided sheet music in them (Glare proof preferred)
Music may not be permanently kept in the side pockets of their binder
