We are proud to share that John Kyle Binion has been selected to represent Baker County High School at the 44th Annual Florida State University Tri-State Band Festival in Tallahassee, FL!
The Tri-State Festival is one of the region’s most prestigious honor band experiences, bringing together outstanding student musicians from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Each year, the nomination committee receives hundreds of submissions from more than 140 schools, making John’s selection a significant honor that reflects both his musicianship and dedication.
John is a dedicated member of the BCHS Band program and currently serves as Flute Section Leader of the Wildcat Pride Marching Band. In this leadership role, he helps guide and support his fellow musicians while setting an example of responsibility, preparation, and commitment to excellence.
Throughout his musical career, John has demonstrated his abilities through numerous performances and honors. He has been selected to participate in the North Florida Honor Band in 2022, 2023, 2025, and 2026, reflecting his continued growth and achievement as a musician. His accomplishments at the Florida Bandmasters Association Solo & Ensemble Music Performance Assessment include a Superior rating on a Grade 5 Flute Trio and an Excellent rating on a Grade 5 Flute Solo.
John’s continued involvement in honor ensembles, his accomplishments as a performer, and his willingness to serve as a student leader reflect the values we strive to instill throughout the BCHS Band program. We are excited for him to represent Baker County on a larger stage and look forward to the experiences and musical growth he will bring back to our program.
