This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
Happy Labor Day!
We had such a good time in Chiefland! Sans we were tired, but those who went to UF the next day also had an amazing time! How cool it was to perform for tens of thousands of people! I’m glad we were able to have fun!
Hey kiddos, do me a favor and make sure your parents are also reading the weekly update. There’s good information on here, and usually reading it saves a lot of questions. Thanks!
This week, we have Home game vs First Coast HS! We will be performing our halftime show in the full band uniform this week! It does get hot, so please make sure you are hydrating and taking care of your well being by eating healthy meals and avoiding practices that would make you sick (WASH YOUR HANDS).
Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, there are no activities scheduled. Happy Labor Day!
Tuesday, we have a Brass Sectional (Student Led, not mandatory) from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. We also After School Rehearsal from 4pm to 7pm.
Wednesday, there are no events scheduled.
Thursday, we have After School Rehearsal from 4pm to 7pm. I am trying to work it out for us to have rehearsal at the stadium. If this ends up being the case, please adjust accordingly. Stay posted on the band app.
Friday, we have HOME vs. First Coast HS. 4:00pm Call Time. Please meet at the band room wearing a Wildcat Shirt (it’s unlikely we’ll have shirts yet), Gym Shorts, Long Black Socks, and your Band Shoes.
Saturday, it's FSU Band Day! Here is a link to the itinerary. Since we won’t have band shirts, please wear FSU attire or Wildcat gear. I recommend also wearing shorts, since most of what we are doing today is outdoors.

All State Auditions!
All State Auditions are steadily approaching! Are you preparing an audition? Even if not, you should check out the audition music and practice it! It is available for FREE on our website, and you can become a better musician!
If you are auditioning, please make sure to keep checking the FBA Website for corrections so you can adjust! The music on our website IS NOT up to date with any corrections, so if there is something you need, please come talk to me immediately so I can help! There's nothing worse than showing up to the audition room only to find out you've prepared the wrong thing! Please make sure everything is correct!
We will have mock auditions on Monday so you can practice auditioning and get some feedback.
FSU Band Day
FSU Band Day is on Saturday, September 6th! FSU Band Day is a fun event where students are able to attend an FSU Football Game and see how the Marching Chiefs does things! High School students don't get to play at this one, but it'll be fun to get the Seminole experience in the newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium!
For tickets, I have deferred our extra tickets to BCMS so we have 40 total. 3 are reserved for professional staff, and 2 are reserved for chaperones. Because of this, tickets are sold out!!
