This is your weekly MUSIC DEPARTMENT update!
Hello Folks!
Congratulations on your performance at FFCC Championships this weekend!
A thank you to our band parents and staff members for all of your hard work and dedication throughout the course of this season to make sure our students were set up for success. It takes a village.
I’m in awe of how far we’ve grown in a single year and I’m so excited to help you continue to grow even more in the years to come! Now we can fully focus our attention to the Christmas Concert, and afterwards our next big hurdle, MPA!
It's concert season! Be warned that rehearsals are less frequent, but weigh more as a result. Missing a rehearsal in concert season can REALLY tank your grade, and there are no make ups in band. Make sure you've got everything situated so you can attend your band obligations.
Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, we have a Band Booster Meeting at 6:30pm. You may bring a blanket and a pillow for an in class nap day for your class period(s) only. 7th period will play.
Tuesday, there are no activities scheduled. Happy Veteran's Day!
Wednesday, there are no activities scheduled.
Thursday, Wind Ensemble has its first after school rehearsal joint with Mr. Ian Schwindt from Titusville High School!
Friday, we have a Playoff Game at Raines HS. We will not be performing our Halftime Show, but we will support our team as much as possible in the stands. We'll plan to wear full uniform and ball caps. Call Time is 4pm. If we win this game, we'll have a game next week.

North Florida Honor Band
Materials for North Florida Honor Band are now available and can be found HERE!
Members of the Wind Ensemble are required to audition.
Symphonic Band members and Percussionists are also encouraged to audition but are not required to do so.
The NFHB Recording Days are on November 17th and 18th. Recordings will not be redone (due to time). Mr. Moore reserves the right to not send off a recording that shows lack of adequate preparation.

By the way, I base birthday announcements on what I can see on the Band App, so if you would like to be recognized for your birthday on the weekly announcements, please make sure your Birthday is set to PUBLIC on the Band App. To do this: Go to our Band App> Settings (Cog on Bottom Right)> Set Profile> Show My Birthday> Anyone)
