Congrats on your showing at Orange Park!
Admittedly, I am writing this on Saturday before we've left for comp, so I don't know how y'all did, but I believe in you!
Seniors, please make sure you've filled out your senior will! Also, all band members should look at binging something for the pasta potluck! (Links Below)
Weekly Walkthrough
Monday, there are no activities scheduled, though the Boosters will likely need help assistance with the fair, so please sign up to help.
Tuesday, there is a Woodwind Sectional from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. We also have an After School Rehearsal from 4pm to 7pm. Also,
Wednesday, there are no events scheduled, though the Boosters will likely need help assistance with the fair, so please sign up to help.
Thursday, we have an After School Rehearsal from 4pm to 7pm.
Friday, today is Band Picture Day during school. Please don't miss today, as there will be NO MAKEUP DAYS! We will not be going to the Away Football Game today since it's so far away, but we will have a rehearsal at the Stadium from 4pm to 7pm. This rehearsal is an OPEN rehearsal (parents and middle school band members are invited to come check out the process). We will also be joined by Prof. Christopher Creswell. Please arrange your own transportation to the stadium.
Saturday and Sunday, the Boosters will likely need help assistance with the fair, so please sign up to help.

Things to Note 🎵:
Baker County Fair
It's almost time for the fair!!!!
Below is a sign up for volunteers to work the fair. We will need as many people that are willing to sign up! The students are not going to be able to volunteer as much as they have in years past due to their rehearsal schedule, so we need parents to help fill that gap. Just to give a bit of information about some of the proceeds of the fair booth, this is a booster fundraiser that we use some (sometimes the majority) of the proceeds to fund the halftime show for the season. The show can be very costly (upwards of $4000 annually), and the boosters cover a great portion of that expense. We need as many parents as we can get to help out. Middle school students will be allowed to work as well.
All students please know that if you sign up, you will be expected to work. Thank you all in advance for helping out!
Senior Wills
Seniors, each year, a publication of the Senior Wills goes out for students to read on the bus ride to MPA. You should submit your Senior Will using the link on the band app (or the link HERE). You can leave funny or meaningful things to any student or staff member in the band. What you bequeath does not have to be a real item—it can be a joke, or a sort role you played in the band (ie. The math wiz, or the comedian).
You may resubmit this form as many times as you need, but only the MOST RECENTLY SUBMITTED form will be published.
Pasta Potluck
Please sign up HERE to bring something to the Pasta Potluck! This is staple MPA tradition where our band families bring pasta and desserts for us all to enjoy together. It connects our households and our hearts. Please be sure to sign up if you plan to bring something. We would like to avoid too much of the same thing being brought to the potluck.
A reminder: You don’t need to bring a band- sized portion of pasta. Just cook enough for your family and maybe just a little more than that. If the sign up fills up, that should be plenty of food. If you sign up to bring bread, bring enough for 2 families (we like to eat bread). If you sign up to bring soda bring at least two 2 liters or 2 boxes of cans. If you sign up to bring dessert, bring enough for 1 family. If you sign up to bring paper products, bring enough for 1 family.
North Florida Honor Band
Materials for North Florida Honor Band are now available and can be found HERE!
Members of the Wind Ensemble are required to audition.
Symphonic Band members and Percussionists are also encouraged to audition but are not required to do so.
NFHB Recording Day is on November 18th. Recordings will not be redone (due to time). Mr. Moore reserves the right to not send off a recording that shows lack of adequate preparation.

Birthday Announcements!
By the way, I base birthday announcements on what I can see on the Band App, so if you would like to be recognized for your birthday on the weekly announcements, please make sure your Birthday is set to PUBLIC on the Band App. To do this: Go to our Band App> Settings (Cog on Bottom Right)> Set Profile> Show My Birthday> Anyone)
