Nicholas Lowther and RJ Clines make All State Honors

It is my sincere pleasure to inform you that we have had two Baker County HS Band students make the Florida All State Honors Ensemble!!

This is an incredible opportunity for these students as they will be exposed to some wonderful literature and they will meet other amazing musicians from across the state of Florida!

To earn a spot in this ensemble, they were nominated by their director and had to demonstrate a high level of proficiency on their instrument including the ability to play all twelve major scales, the ability to play with amazing tone and range, and they also had to have noteworthy participation in band including Solo and Ensemble, Local Honor Bands, and outstanding merit.

Who better to represent BCHS than these two wonderful and powerful musicians and students?

Nick Lowther is a Senior and is a phenomenal musician. Nick is also an Eagle Scout! He qualified for this ensemble once before in his Sophomore year. He has participated in Solo and Ensemble and even served as our Student Conductor earning a score of Superior! I’m very proud of Nick and his accomplishments as he has been and incredible leader and guide for other younger musicians.

RJ Clines is a Junior and is another incredible musician. RJ plays both French Horn and Piano and consistently earns superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble on Grade 6 and 7 music (the hardest music available to play by Florida Bandmaster Standards). RJ has been an amazing asset to our band for his musicianship, and I am so proud to see how much he has grown in his pursuit of musical excellence!

One proud band director here! And this is just another reason why it’s BETTER IN BAKER!
