We are proud to share that Band Captain Jacob Ballinger has been selected to represent Baker County High School at the 44th Annual Florida State University Tri-State Band Festival in Tallahassee, FL!

The Tri-State Festival is one of the region’s most prestigious honor ensembles, bringing together outstanding student musicians from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Each year, the nomination committee receives hundreds of submissions from more than 140 schools, making Jacob’s selection a significant honor that reflects both his talent and dedication.

Jacob is a Senior at BCHS and currently serves as Band Captain of the Wildcat Pride Marching Band, as well as principal trombone in the Baker County Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. He also performs as a flautist in the Symphonic Band. Since 2023, Jacob has held leadership roles within the band program, continually setting an example of hard work, integrity, and musicianship for his peers. Beyond BCHS, he has attended the FSU Summer Leadership Camp and performed with the North Florida Honor Band, further sharpening his skills as both a performer and leader.

Jacob’s dedication, musicianship, and leadership embody the very best of what the BCHS Band program strives to represent. We are excited to see him share his talents on a larger stage, and we look forward to the growth and experiences he will bring back to our program.

Please join us in congratulating Jacob on this well-deserved achievement!
